WYZARD
Wyzard is a visionary producer, extraordinary bassist, performer,arranger, programmer and prolific songwriter who originated what is now called Funk-Rock and has influenced Prince, Eddie Van Halen, Living Colour, Motley Crue and Adam Lambert to name a few. Most noted for his mind blowing performances with Mother's Finest, the world's first multicultural funk rock band, He wrote their most popular song, "Baby Love," featuring Joyce Kennedy on vocals. The Band's diversity landed them on tours with acts like The Who, Parliment-Funkadelic, Aerosmith, Earth Wind and Fire, AC-DC, Santana and many others.
Mother's Finest was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame 2011'.
Wyzard was hand picked by Jimmy Iovine to tour and recorded with Stevie Nicks on her famous Wild Heart tour and Platinum CD.
Wyzard's production of Guitar Shorty's CD ( Alligator records, ) "We The People" won the Blues Foundation Award for Best 2007 Contemporary Blues CD. His 2010 production of Guitar Shorty's "Bare Knuckle" CD entered the Billboard Blues charts at #3 with a bullet and was a candidate for nomination in the 2011 Grammys.
He is also a member of the International band Carl Carlton and the Songdogs, who recently recorded the theme song/ video for Amnesty International's 50 year anniversary, featuring Ewan McGregor, Taj Mahal, Keb Mo and other great artist. To be released April 2012.
